Warm, open-minded family in RIVER WEST is looking for a PT Nanny starting ASAP!

Family has a 4 year old son & 21-month daughter. Searching for a special person that is always 10-steps ahead, who has a natural ability to “fill the gaps”. Both parents run their own businesses which means days are flexible yet require pivoting. It will be highly-valuable to support mom in balancing work/life and ensure that she can function at a greater capacity. Looking for someone who happily collaborates with parents, aiming to make their lives easier in a season where everything else is unpredictable. Someone who, by nature, goes above and beyond. Both kids love outdoor play, we have a rooftop pool in our building, a few parks nearby and rooftop/green space for quick play. Parents value encouraging the learning of natural consequences, love to foster their curiosity/creativity and love daily opportunities to learn that don’t necessarily have to be “education-based” such as sandwich-making, tying shoelaces, dressing, & street safety.

*Looking for a long term solution until March 2025.

*Car not required, STEPS away from Blue Line (Chicago stop), accessible with Halstead, Milwaukee or Chicago Ave bus.

REQUIREMENTS: Standard vaccinations & flu shot. Driver’s license & clean driving record.

START: Anytime in MAY.

SCHEDULE: Ideally Tuesday-Thursday (3 days) from ~9:00am-3:30/4:00pm. Targeting a set schedule of 20-24+ hours/week. (Room to grow up to 30 hrs/wk).

Responsibility Details Below:

Childcare: Quality time spent engaging promoting a loving environment, always helping them to feel loved, brave, & creative. Park trips, & enjoying the building pool! Narrating the day is very important, always communicating & sparking curiosity!

Household Management: Maintaining a clean space, support with kids' laundry, receiving grocery orders, cooking healthy foods for kids. Potentially driving son to pre-K. Keeping diaper bag/stroller stocked, etc.

PAY: $27-30+/hour (depending on experience) for 20-24 hour baseline schedule. $540-720/week, before taxes.
